You’ve probably noticed that we’ve teamed up with our friends at the Manchester-based Good Measure clothing label to produce a special run of single hop craft beer. We both make small runs of fine products and place high quality raw materials at the heart of our respective operations – and with things going well for both businesses, celebratory single hop craft beer seemed like a great idea: First Chop Good Measure pale amber ale is the result of this meeting of minds.
Brewed from mosaic hops and sold at just ten venues around the Greater Manchester areas, it’s the perfect synthesis of style and substance. Mosaic is the current darling of the hop world, and its powerful character lies at the heart of this smooth, pale amber ale with a rounded, caramelly malt base. It’s first in what we hope will be a series of single-hop collaborations.
Good Measure have a similar ethos to ourselves, using the finest materials with the aim of producing high quality sweatshirts in small runs here in England. The brand was conceived by a group of friends who’ve been around long enough to know what they want – which is the perfect sweatshirt! The brand is stocked by the taste-making likes of Oi Polloi, and enjoys a global following.
First Chop Good Measure beer is available in Greater Manchester only at present with stockist that include Strange Brew, Font and The Beagle (all Chorlton), Kosmonaut, 2022, Common, Port Street Beer House (all city centre), our own brewing arm and Volta (Didsbury) and Electrik (Chorlton).
